CONT

Skills-based routing(SBR), or Skills-based call routing, is a call-assignment strategy used in call centers to assign incoming calls to the most suitable agent, instead of simply choosing the next available agent.

French

Domaine(s)
  • Télécommunications
CONT

Le routage par compétences est une stratégie de distribution utilisée dans les centres d'appels pour attribuer un appel entrant à l'agent le plus approprié pour traiter la demande. Cette méthode est une évolution des systèmes de distribution existants.

English

Subject field(s)
  • Artificial Intelligence
  • Software
CONT

A continual problem associated with any nondeterministic routing technique is the processing of a call in an endless loop of nodes called "ring around the rosey". Since this is an undesirable form of system behaviours, a means of punishing it must be provided. Recall that the network signaling requires that both the source and acceptor node signals or codes be sent with each call. Therefore, all links associated with a call that loops back to the source node will be punished when this so-called path loop constraint is applied.
