The standby attitude reference system, comprised of the attitude indicator located on the extreme left center of the pilot's instrument panel and a 28 Vdc [volt direct current] emergency power supply, provide a visual indication of the aircraft flight attitude. The attitude reference system is designed to provide a standby attitude indicator that is powered by a source independent of the aircraft electrical generating system. The system will provide reliable attitude information for at least 30 minutes after a total failure of the aircraft electrical system. 4, record 1, English, - standby%20attitude%20indicator

Earth observation satellites are used to observe the earth surfaces, sea surfaces, ocean currents, clouds, etc., from space. Observation instruments are installed on satellites for remote sensing purposes. There is a relatively short development time for a long duration mission. Once launched, it has the advantage of being able to observe wide areas. Instrument operations can be easily performed from the console of a ground control station. Issues with satellite-based remote sensing are as follows : a lengthy development time from planning to actual operations, significant initial investments, risk of launch failure and inability to repair the satellite up in space. 1, record 3, English, - observation%20satellite

2, record 3, French, - satellite%20d%27observation

Gross navigational error(GNE)-Pilots are expected to fly their aircraft along the centerline of their assigned route and to stay within the accuracy limits of their installed navigation systems.(For example, the accuracy tolerance limits for Loran C equipment used in instrument flight rules(IFR) oceanic navigation is 5. 8 NM). If an aircraft becomes off course, it is usually for one of the following reasons; a "loop"(or communications) error between the pilot and the controller, a pilot intentionally entering a waypoint which is not along the assigned route of flight(for example, a pilot deviation due to weather without prior ATC approval or without declaring an emergency), an unintentionally entered waypoint not along the assigned route, and a navigational equipment error or failure. Navigational errors that are greater than 20 NM are investigated by the various countries that provide ATC service. 3, record 4, English, - gross%20navigational%20error

V-bar : Flight Director Indicator... The V-bar command indicator is a pair of yellow, wedge-shaped V-bars that move up or down to command a climb or descent, and roll left or right to command a bank. The flight director system commands the V-bars to capture and track the selected heading or radio signals; or to maintain a desired pitch angle, glidepath, or an optimum speed during SC(speed command) operation. To satisfy the commands, the aircraft is maneuvered so that the airplane symbol is flown into the V-bars until the two are aligned. Input signals to the V-bars depend upon the mode of operation. The V-bars are biased from view by the instrument failure warning system; when loss of signal occurs, or sensing circuits fail that are associated with the selected mode of operation. They are also out of view when the mode selector control is in the OFF position. 3, record 8, English, - tendency%20bar
