Dependent States are subjects of international law with a limited capacity. They are the products of particular circumstances on which it is difficult to generalise. In each case the matter is governed by the rule underlying the principles of consent, recognition and good faith, or, in other words, by treaties, in relation to third parties, by recognition and non-recognition of the situation. 2, record 1, English, - semi%2Dsovereign%20state

2, record 1, French, - %C3%A9tat%20mi%2Dsouverain
