On January 1, 2008 Canada will recognize the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Business Travel Card (ABTC), which is designed to facilitate business travel and provide accredited business people with priority processing. Current ABTC holders will be able to enter Canada using the special service lane at Canada's eight major international airports in the following cities: Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary, Winnipeg, Toronto, Ottawa, Montréal and Halifax. Travellers should follow signage with the APEC logo to access this lane. Cardholders will still need a valid passport to travel since the ABTC is not meant to replace the passport as an official travel document. When using the special service lane to enter Canada, ABTC holders will be required to show the following documents to border services officers: a valid ABTC; a valid passport; a visa, if they are from one of these 10 countries: Chile, Chinese Taipei, Indonesia, Malaysia, Peru, the Phillippines, Russia, Thailand and Vietnam. Work permits may also be required depending on the nature of the business to be conducted in Canada. 1, record 2, English, - APEC%20Business%20Travel%20Card

1, record 2, French, - Carte%20de%20voyage%20d%27affaires%20de%20l%27APEC
