A computer vision inspection system is used in a production line to carry out responsibilities that humans struggle with. In this use case, the system uses high-resolution images to build a full 3D [tridimensional] model of components and their connector pins. As components run through the manufacturing plant, the computer vision system captures various images from different angles to generate a 3D model. These images, when combined and fed to AI [artificial intelligence] algorithms, identify any faulty threading or minor deviation from the design. 1, record 4, English, - computer%20vision%20inspection%20system

The Electronic Stability Control detects the deviation between the vehicle's trajectory and the intended direction. Without any action on the part of the driver, small amounts of braking are applied separately to each wheel and this can bring the vehicle back to the intended course. 1, record 9, Spanish, - control%20din%C3%A1mico%20de%20estabilidad

1. The parameter may be, for example, a standard deviation(or a given multiple of it), or the half-width of an interval having a stated level of confidence. 2. Uncertainty of measurement comprises, in general, many components. Some of these components may be evaluated from the statistical distribution of the results of series of measurements and can be characterized by experimental standard deviations. The other components, which can also be characterized by standard deviations, are evaluated from assumed probability distributions based on experience or other information. 3. It is understood that the result of the measurement is the best estimate of the value of the measurand, and that all components of uncertainty, including those arising from systematic effects, such as components associated with corrections and reference standards, contribute to the dispersion. 3, record 28, English, - uncertainty%20of%20measurement

The heading indicator (HI) uses the principle of rigidity in space for it’s operation. The gyro is mounted such that it registers changes around the vertical axis only; i.e. direction changes. The compass card attached to the gyro appears to the pilot as though it is turning. In reality, it and the attached gyro are remaining rigid in space, while the aircraft and case turn about the gyro. The HI is not automatically synchronized with the magnetic compass. It must be set to the compass heading while level on the airport surface prior to take-off. 13, record 34, English, - directional%20gyroscope

Record number: 34, Textual support number: 2 CONT

This instrument measures simultaneously the amount and direction of the deviation of a borehole. The sonde is fitted with a small camera on the axis of a graduated glass bowl in which a steel ball rolls freely and a compass mounted on gimbals. The sonde is designed to lie exactly parallel to the axis of the borehole. When a reading is required at a particular depth, the camera is electrically operated from the surface and takes a photograph of the bowl. The steel ball has rolled to the lowest point and so marks the amount of deviation. Its position in relation to the image of the compass needle gives the direction of deviation. 1, record 89, English, - Schlumberger%20photoclinometer

The redistributional weights should not be interpreted as a deliberate deviation from efficiency objectives designed to improve the equity of the screening program. The weights could be indicative of a lack of flexibility in the program which prevented it from moving into new areas where the marginal rates of discovery of new tuberculosis cases would have been higher. As well, the redistributive effects may indicate the inappropriateness of the methods used to determine which areas required servicing. 1, record 100, English, - efficiency%20objective
