Record number: 1, Textual support number: 1 DEF
A radarscope display in which targets appear as vertical deflections from a line that represents a time base. 6, record 1, English, - type%20A%20display
Record number: 1, Textual support number: 1 OBS
Target distance is proportional to the horizontal position of the deflection from one end of the time base, and target echo signal intensity is proportional to the amplitude of the vertical deflection. On some scopes the display is rotated 90°, so the time base is vertical and the signal pips increase from left to right horizontally. 6, record 1, English, - type%20A%20display

Record number: 2, Textual support number: 1 CONT
The characteristics of a radar echo are determined by 1) the waveform, frequency, and power of the incident wave; 2) the range and velocity of the target with respect to the radar; and 3) the size, shape, and composition of the target. 7, record 2, English, - radar%20echo
Record number: 2, Textual support number: 2 CONT
Each return signal(echo) is recorded in amplitude and phase for a slight displacement of the antenna in the flight direction. The effect of a considerable larger antenna is obtained synthetically by storing and combined processing of these multiple echoes. The SAR method operates only when the radar radiation is coherent. 8, record 2, English, - radar%20echo

Record number: 2, Textual support number: 1 CONT
5, record 2, French, - %C3%A9cho%20radar
