English

Subject field(s)
  • Radio Transmission and Reception
DEF

Any one of a class of antennas having a structural geometry such that its impedance and radiation characteristics repeat periodically as the logarithm of frequency.

DEF

A type of directional antenna that achieves its wideband properties by geometric iteration. The radiating elements and the spacing between elements have dimensions that increase logarithmically from one end of the array to the other so that the ratio of element length to element spacing remains constant.

OBS

log periodic antenna: term and first definition standardized by IEEE.

French

Domaine(s)
  • Émission et réception radio
DEF
