The adjustment of blades, so that the area swept is not a disc in a flat plane, but slightly shallow, i.e. each blade is not exactly at right angles to the shaft but leans slightly downwind as if yielding somewhat to the direct force of the wind.

OBS

La conicité permet à la fois d'atténuer quelque peu les charges de flexion et, dans le cas des éoliennes sous le vent, de les faire pivoter de leur axe sans recourir à un gouvernail ou à un autre système d'orientation.
