This Fishing Vessel Insurance Plan is administered in accordance with Vote 540, Appropriation Act No. 5, 1955, extended by Vote 527, Appropriation Act No. 6 1956 and Vote L38b, Appropriation Act No 1, 1970, to insure fishermen against abnormal capital losses. The account is credited with premiums and recoveries, and with advances in accordance with the regulations, such advances not to exceed at any time $150,000. The account is charged with indemnities, refunds of premiums and payments in settlement of third party vessel collision damage claims against fishermen where the collision involves a vessel insured under the Fishing Vessel Insurance Plan. Le Régime d'assurance des bateaux de pêche est administré conformément au crédit 540 de la Loi des subsides n° 5 de 1955, prolongé par le crédit 527 de la Loi des subsides n° 6 de 1956 et le crédit L38b de la Loi n° 1 de 1970 portant affectation de crédits, afin d'assurer les pêcheurs contre des pertes en capital anormales. Sont crédités au compte les primes et les recouvrements, ainsi que les avances consenties conformément aux règlements, ces avances ne devant pas dépasser en tout temps 150 000 $. Y sont imputés les indemnités, les remboursements de primes et les paiements destinés à régler les réclamations de dommages-intérêts envers des tiers pour collision, lorsque la collision met en cause un bateau assuré aux termes du Régime d'assurance des bateaux de pêche.
