The Consumers' Bureau hears, mediates and investigates consumer-related complaints. When the Bureau receives a complaint, it considers the rights and responsibilities of each party. Not all matters are covered by legislation. L'Office de la protection du consommateur est chargé de recevoir et d'entendre les plaintes déposées par les consommateurs, de faire enquête sur ces plaintes et d'en assurer la médiation. Lorsque l'Office reçoit une plainte, il examine les droits et les responsabilités des parties concernées. Toutes les plaintes ne sont cependant pas prévues par des dispositions législatives.
