With the shutdown of Engine 2, there would have been a loss of pneumatic pressure or bleed air from the engine to Air Pack 2. This loss of pneumatic system or duct pressure would have been sensed by the pneumatic system controller and a signal would have been sent to the ESC. With the ESC operating in auto mode, Isolation Valve 1-2 should have opened automatically to allow Engine 1 bleed air to drive Air Pack 2.

À la suite de l'arrêt du moteur 2, il s'est probablement produit une perte de pression pneumatique ou d'air de prélèvement entre le moteur et le groupe de conditionnement d'air 2. Cette perte de la pression pneumatique ou de pression dans les gaines aurait été décelée par le contrôleur du système pneumatique, et un signal aurait été envoyé au contrôleur du système de ventilation. Comme ce contrôleur fonctionnait en mode automatique, la vanne d'isolement 1-2 se serait ouverte automatiquement pour permettre à l'air de prélèvement du moteur 1 d'alimenter le groupe de conditionnement d'air 2.
