Synthetic Aperture Radar. A radar imaging instrument which provides a penetrating illumination of radio waves, and is capable of imaging surfaces covered by clouds and haze. SAR images are constructed of a matrix where lines of constant distance or range intersect with lines of constant Doppler shift. 2, record 1, English, - synthetic%2Daperture%20imaging%20radar

Radar imaging systems used in remote sensing applications consist of an air or space borne antenna. These antennas transmit and/or receive radar signals in order to produce imagery at a fine enough resolution for image interpreters to identify physical features on the Earth's surface. 3, record 1, English, - synthetic%2Daperture%20imaging%20radar

3, record 1, French, - radar%20imageur%20%C3%A0%20synth%C3%A8se%20d%27ouverture
