Un degré hydrotimétrique (degré français aussi noté °f) correspond à 10 mg de carbonate de calcium par litre d'eau, à 25°C. [Il existe également le degré allemand qui vaut 1,786 degré français et le degré anglais qui vaut 1,43 degré français].
