This report outlines from Canadian subject matter experts(SMEs) on the current state of transportation ergonomics and its implication for future research directives in Canada. Provided in the report are a working definition of transportation ergonomics and a conceptual framework for the development of a strategic plan to prioritize areas where research should be focused. Information on transportation ergonomics was gathered through a review of TDC projects, national and international literature, and SMEs’ responses to a questionnaire. Issues were identified which affect the development and delivery of transportation systems within Canada. A four-point plan was developed as a framework for TDC to enhance the delivery of transportation ergonomics in Canada. SAM could read a variety of stories. Since we already had the translation ability that the conceptual parsers and generators from MARGIE provided, we could translate the stories into... Russian and Spanish. The Russian and Spanish versions weren’t exact translations of each other. The student who had written the Russian generator wrote it differently from the one that the Spanish speaking student had written.
