The World Wide Web does offer some unique training capabilities but it is important that instructional designers understand the limitations of the medium and the varying needs of different using populations. An entirely web-based training program is most effective with independent learners who are basically technology proficient or in settings where there is constant "on demand" technology support to the trainees. Instructional designers must also take into consideration the content of the course and desired outcome. Some kinds of skills are better transmitted via direct human communication and interaction, that is where a master trainer or mentor works beside the trainee to develop skills and confidence. In all likelihood, the best training program will be one that incorporates a combination of multimedia and apprenticeship. 1, record 7, English, - web%2Dbased%20training%20program

The term resource partitioning is an ecological concept used to describe the differential use of resources such as food and space by two or more species.

The term resource partitioning is an ecological concept used to describe the differential use of resources such as food and space by two or more species. Of course, as humans sequester ever more resources required or desired by our species, fewer resources are left for others, hence the accelerating biodiversity crisis world wide. 1, record 25, English, - sequester

The gel entrapment method involves entrapping of the enzymes within the interstitial spaces of crosslinked water insoluble polymer gels.... The usual method of gel formation is to polymerize acrylamide in an aqueous solution of the soluble enzyme and a crosslinking agent such as N, N-methylenebis(acrylamide). The resulting gel block can be mechanically dispersed into particles of desired size. The broad distribution of pore size of the gel inevitably results in leakage of the entrapped enzyme even after prolonged washing whilst the generation of free radicals in the course of the reaction may affect the activity of the entrapped enzymes. 1, record 26, English, - gel%20entrapment

Compulsive reflection is one way of ensuring that the higher-level axioms in a multilevel database are use in determining the course of lower-level inference. Although compulsive reflection is more expensive than universal subgoaling is, it is more reliable. Our definition of compulsive reflection assumes that, in addition to the metalevel axioms defining the desired baselevel behavior, the initial database contains an appropriate clause to seed its metalevel reasoning. The clause is obtained by applying the function newmeta to the initial baselevel database. 1, record 27, English, - compulsive%20reflection
