The Global Analysis and Institutions Division is responsible for monitoring trends, gathering information and intelligence, conducting analyses, and producing reports for Canadian small-to-medium-sized enterprises(SMEs) to support their entry and success in global markets. Information gathered is also shared with colleagues in other parts of AAFC [Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada], including but not limited to, Canada Brand, Bilateral Relations and Technical Trade(U. S. The Market and Policy Analysis Division is generally responsible for the analysis and evaluation of the performance and structure of the grain industry and the development of policies and programs, with respect to both domestic and international matters, with a view to improving industry performance. The Division also participates in the assembly and analysis of market information to assist in the identification of marketing market development opportunities and the formulation of initiatives for their exploitation.
