PERCENTAGE ANIMAL [4 records]

Record 1 2023-06-27

English

Subject field(s)
  • Animal Feed (Agric.)
CONT

A key point to understanding is that as a beef animal matures, it begins to deposit less muscle and more fat, which is why CP [crude protein] requirement as a percentage of the ration decreases with weight gain... Even though this occurs, finishing rations typically contain at least 12% CP.

  • Animal Feed (Agric.)
CONT

Simplistically, [animal] feeds consist of two major fractions—water and dry matter. While water is physiologically critical, the nutrients(energy, protein, minerals, and vitamins) are found in the dry matter fraction, so it is important to know what percentage of the feed is associated with dry matter. Although the quantity of dry matter in a feed will not change, the amount of water present may change, and this will determine the dry matter percentage.

  • per cent dry matter

Animal cells in which DNA virus replication aborts. In a small percentage of cases, the DNA virus instead transforms cells into their cancerous equivalents. In such neoplastic transformation, one or more of the viral genes becomes integrated into the genome of the host cell.

French

Domaine(s)
  • Génétique
DEF
