The early structural history of the basin, from the deposition and/or emplacement of the oldest rocks, is poorly understood. The earliest rocks are difficult to study because the Lower Phanerozoic and Precambrian rocks are not exposed at the surface in North Dakota and only a few wells have penetrated these rocks. 3, record 1, English, - structural%20history
Record number: 1, Textual support number: 1 OBS
The most obvious thing to do when trying to decipher the structural history of a formation is to describe it. One way of doing this is to measure the dip and strike. The dip is the amount a bed of rock is tipped from the horizontal. The strike is the direction which is ninety degrees from the dip, i. e. along the horizontal line on the bed. 4, record 1, English, - structural%20history

The present work aims at trying out Acoustic Impact Technique as a possible means of deployment at field level for the purpose of flaw detection in composite helicopter blades. The principle underlying Acoustic Impact Testing is simple. The sound produced when a structure is tapped is mainly at the frequencies of major structural modes of vibration, which are structural properties. Any difference in the sound is necessarily due to modification affected to the force input by the defect in the structure. A study of the force time history of response or its fast fourier transform makes it possible to locate and detect sub surface flaws. 3, record 4, English, - acoustic%20impact%20technique

In October 1985, the London Metal Exchange(LME) was thrown into crisis when the International Tin Council(ITC) informed the LME that it could not pay its debt. The crisis, the largest in LME's history, was part structural and part functional and caused large losses to be sustained by LME members, a decline in trading volume of 50%, and a drop in the number of ring-dealers from 29 to 23. 1, record 5, English, - ring%20dealer
