SUBSTRATE DISTORTION [3 records]

CONT

The plasma spray process is basically the spraying of molten or heat softened material onto a surface to provide a coating. Material in the form of powder is injected into a very high temperature plasma flame, where it is rapidly heated and accelerated to a high velocity. The hot material impacts on the substrate surface and rapidly cools forming a coating. This plasma spray process carried out correctly is called a "cold process"(relative to the substrate material being coated) as the substrate temperature can be kept low during processing avoiding damage, metallurgical changes and distortion to the substrate material.

OBS

plasma spray process: term standardized by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC).

CONT

Inert UV technology solved a lot of problems that Crea had previously been experiencing, among them substrate distortion when printing thinner films, and excessive heat generation in the summer.

CONT

The substrate... can be considered to be destabilized by changes, associated with its binding to the enzyme, and the consequent strain resulting from charge distribution(electrostatic effects) and mechanical distortion. Nucleophilic and electrophilic centres are brought into juxtaposition with each other to allow new covalent bonds to be formed. Solvation of the enzyme may be of great importance as a temperature-dependent transducer of energy in the interaction of the enzyme surface with the aqueous environment of the enzyme, leading to changes in the interior of the enzyme.
