[The fishery management council] approved an amendment that proposes modifications to the permitting and management of the Illex squid fishery. These changes are intended to both reduce excess capacity in the fishery and mitigate the rapid use of the quota seen in recent years.... the [council] considered, but did not accept, revisions to Illex squid [fishing] permits as part of [the amendments].

The act of 1930 remained in force, with only minor changes, until 1971 when it was completely rewritten. One amendment, made in 1960, transferred the responsibility of the Board of Grain Commissioners from the Canada Department of Industry, Trade and Commerce to Agriculture Canada. The 1971 act maintained the principal objectives of earlier acts but some elements were rewritten to meet changing conditions.

Harbour construction 49°19’20. 0"N 067°35’30. 0"W. There has been changes made to the Harbour's infrastructures. The wharf base has been stoned on the south side and these bolders are not visible at high water level. A chart amendment patch showing this information will be available a later date.
