The Centre for Contemporary Canadian Art(CCCA) was founded in 1995 by Bill Kirby, with Peter D. R. Brown and Arthur B. C. Drache, Q. C. The Centre is a federally incorporated, not-for-profit charitable arts organization, administered by a Board of Directors, and based in Toronto, Canada. It has been managed since its inception by Founder and Executive Director, Bill Kirby. The focus of the CCCA's activity is the Canadian Art Database Project. The CCCA is essentially a ’virtual organization’, with no permanent staff and no permanent facilities. As funds have permitted, however, the Director has been assisted in developing The Canadian Art Database, by members of the CCCA Group, experienced artists and arts professionals who have been engaged under contract for varying periods over the past seven years.
