Record number: 1, Textual support number: 1 DEF
An extremely poisonous, colorless, crystalline compound ... obtained by the distillation of coal tar, and converted, by the addition of 10 per cent of water, into a clear liquid with a peculiar odor and a burning taste ... 7, record 1, English, - phenol
Record number: 1, Textual support number: 1 OBS
Phenol itself was first obtained from coal tar in 1834 by the German chemist ... Runge and called carbolic acid. The French chemist Auguste Laurent in 1841 produced the pure compound from coal tar and named it phenic acid. 8, record 1, English, - phenol
Record number: 1, Textual support number: 2 OBS
In 1843 the German chemist ... Gerhardt prepared the same substance by a different method, and he introduced the name "phenol". 9, record 1, English, - phenol

Record 1, Textual support, French
Record number: 1, Textual support number: 1 DEF
6, record 1, French, - ph%C3%A9nol
Record number: 1, Textual support number: 1 OBS
phénol : [...] improprement appelé parfois «acide phénique». 7, record 1, French, - ph%C3%A9nol
Record number: 1, Textual support number: 2 OBS
Runge, 1934), puis acide phénique (A. Laurent, 1841). 8, record 1, French, - ph%C3%A9nol
Record number: 1, Textual support number: 3 OBS
9, record 1, French, - ph%C3%A9nol
