A paraglider is made up of the wing, rigging(lines), small carabiner, and risers.... Lines. Commonly known as lines(a set of rigging) measuring variously between 0. 4-1. 7 mm, even 2. 2 mm, their high level of strength or weight resistance depends on their thickness and the properties of material used in its construction. They are usually concerned with a protective sheath to guard against ground friction and are made from dyneema, kevlar, spectra, superaramid and so on. The lines attach the wing to risers which in turn are attached to the pilots harness, and extend from the wings downward side in the order specified by the particular manufacturer, gradually tapering off in thickness and number via a series of quick links. Finally they end up in tiny linkages(known as small carabiner) from the risers. 6, record 10, English, - suspension%20line

The wind is a continuous succession of gusts and lulls (quiet intervals) associated with equally rapid changes of direction over a range which may exceed 30°. The mean wind speed over a period of time is therefore the mean of many gusts and lulls. Usually only the mean wind is forecast, unless the gusts are expected to be a significant feature. For instance, fresh, gusty southwest winds indicates that the mean wind speed will be between 17 and 21 knots and the mean wind direction will be from the southwest, but that there will also be gusts to speeds significantly higher than the mean. 8, record 17, English, - mean%20wind%20speed

The key focus areas for the Dental Division are : Supporting the regional delivery of the dental therapy program; Managing the contract for the delivery of the National School of Dental Therapy(NSDT) training program by the First Nations University of Canada. Currently, 106 dental therapists from NSDT work either directly for First Nations and Inuit Health Branch(FNIHB) or directly for First Nations or territorial governments in the Regions and Territories and serve approximately 170 First Nations and Inuit communities. They are the key providers for FNIHB oral health initiatives. First Nations University of Canada. According to... the "Standard Proctor test"... a sample of soil is dried, pulverized and separated into two fractions by a no. 4 sieve. About 6 lb of the finer fraction are moistened with a small quantity of water and thoroughly mixed to produce a damp aggregate that is then packed, in three equal layers, into a cylindrical container of specified dimensions. Each layer is compacted by 25 blows of a standard tamper that is allowed to fall from a height of 1 ft. When the cylinder has been filled and struck off level at the top, the weight and the water content of the damp soil of the container are determined. By means of these quantities, the dry density can be computed. In a similar manner the dry density is determined for successively damper mixtures of the aggregate, until the dry density after compaction decreases conspicuously with increasing water content. A curve is plotted showing the relation between dry density and water content. 3, record 32, English, - standard%20Proctor%2Dtest

6, record 32, French, - Proctor%20normal

The application of robotics in space poses difficult control problems. One of these is the precise control of the forces exerted by the robot during contact tasks such as inserting brittle samples into ports with small clearances, or opening doors or drawers without overstepping microgravity disturbance limits or actuating a mechanism with a specified force level. The cost of developing, from the beginning, a mature and robust space robot controller with these capabilities is prohibitive in terms of the resources available for space robotics research in Europe : a mature industrial robot controller-with less advanced capabilities-already represents several tens of man-years of development, and has proved its reliability in thousands of demanding round-the-clock manufacturing installations. 2, record 87, English, - robot%20controller
