Officer personnel data is provided by a coding system based on the officer structure and its associated specifications. Most major personnel data is stored by computer in the Personnel Master File(PMF) at NDHQ. From this control data source reports are generated such as the Resource Management Report(REMAR) used by the manpower distribution directorate at NDHQ and by field units to fill establishment positions; the Career Management Report(CREMAR) for career managers to determine career progression and employment; and the Record of Service(form CF 490) which summarizes all personnel data pertaining to an individual officer(but not miscellaneous qualifications)(501. 2b).
