Anthrax toxin proteins engineered to require activation by tumor-associated proteases show high specificity and potency in suppression of solid tumor growth through actions on tumor endothelial cells. The toxin strongly inhibits proliferation of tumor endothelial cells. Importantly, an immunosuppressive regimen(pentostatin plus cyclophosphamide) not only prevents induction of toxin-neutralizing antibodies, allowing multiple courses of toxin treatment, but also has strong synergy with the toxin on solid tumors.

The corporation's affiliation, central to the natural synergy of transportation and trade, was initiated in 1996 by way of an inter-provincial conference. Conference proceedings led to a 1997 federal transportation and trade potential. One of the study'stop recommendations was to implement a self-systaining organization to promote Canadian trade through this very capable route and from AsiaPacific markets. The study went on to say that greater awareness of the trade benefits for Canada by using both the north and south Western Canada Transportation Corridors must be undertaken as we enter the global millennium. Today the Northwest Corridor Development Corporation has a growing membership of private and public sector representatives, including utilities, transportation companies, manufacturers, labour groups, all three levels of government, and individuals.

For two decades, Leo Derikx was a driving force in building and developing university-industry partnerships in Canada. As Director General of Research Partnerships for NSERC(Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada), it was Leo Derikx who helped to create the Synergy Awards. Upon his retirement in 1999, the award for innovative models of long-standing interaction in the precompetitive stage of R&D was named in his honour.

ESA is currently preparing Envisat, Europe's largest remote-sensing satellite to date, for launch. Its payload includes an advanced instrument complement designed to guarantee the continuity of observation started by its predecessors and to meet the global Earth-monitoring requirement on a longer time scale. In particular, the altimetry from Envisat will benefit from the improved performance of a dual frequency Radar Altimeter(RA-2) working in synergy with the Microwave Radiometer(MWR) and Doppler Orbitography and Radiopositioning Integrated by Satellite(DORIS) instruments. The ground processing products that will be available in near-real-time will be as comprehensive as the off-line products, differing only in terms of the availability and quality of the auxiliary data.

... the Blended-Wing-Body(BWB) concept represents a potential revolution in subsonic transport.... In this study, 800 passenger BWB and conventional airplanes were compared for a 7000 nautical mile design range. ADP-class engines were used with technology levels keyed for a 2015 entry into service(EIS). In every measure, the BWB was found to be superior to the conventional configuration. Key findings for the BWB include : TOGW 15% lower[;] OEW 12% lower [;] Fuel-Burn 28% lower [;] Thrust 27% lower [;] L/D 21% higher [;] DOC 13% lower [. ] The BWB advantage results from a double-deck cabin that extends spanwise as well as lengthwise providing structural and aerodynamic overlap with the wing. This reduces the total wetted area of the airplane and the deep stiff centerbody provides efficient structural wingspan. Relaxed static stability allows optimal span loading, and a trailing-edge high-lift system is not required. Further synergy may be realized through buried engines that ingest the centerbody's boundary layer and thus reduce the effective ram drag.

There are many ways of rendering the concept of "profilé" in English. If the width of the profile changes from one spot on the racquet to another, then the term "beam" is preferred, e.g. tapered beam design for the all round game. If one wants to specify that the beam is narrow, regular or conventional (i.e. not a wide-body), the term "frame", as in "narrow frame" or "conventional-width frame" is preferred.
