Volatile, synthetic pesticide poisons are biologically disruptive, basically untested, toxic chemicals, designed to kill. Many of our most commonly used pesticide poisons are neurotoxins which were developed as an outgrowth of poisonous nerve gas research, during World War II. Synthetic pesticide poisons are capable of disrupting the normal functioning of every major organ system in the body, but the nervous system is the most likely target. 2, record 1, English, - synthetic%20pesticide

4, record 1, French, - pesticide%20de%20synth%C3%A8se

Pesticides are usually, but not always, poisons. Regulations on pesticides make a distinction between those mainly used for crop protection purposes, which are generally known as phytopharmaceuticals or, more commonly, phytosanitary products (Directive 91/414/EEC), and those known as biocides (defined in particular in Directive 98/8/EEC). For example, an insecticide is a phytosanitary product when applied to a wheat crop, but is called a biocide when applied to roof timbers. 3, record 2, English, - pesticide
