Créée le 5 juillet 1968, la [Corporation des officiers municipaux agréés du Québec (COMAQ)] bénéficie du statut de corporation professionnelle proclamé par l'Assemblée nationale par l'entremise d'une loi privée. Chef de file de l'offre de formation professionnelle, la COMAQ regroupe près de 800 gestionnaires municipaux occupant des fonctions-cadres au sein de 300 municipalités du Québec, touchant ainsi 75 % de la population. La Corporation fait également valoir le point de vue de ses membres devant les instances gouvernementales et facilite le réseautage.
