Laparoscopic RYGB [Roux-en-Y gastric bypass]. Surgeon divides stomach into small ... gastric pouch (parts of cardia and fundus) and much larger excluded stomach (gastric remnant). Excluded stomach (gastric remnant) empties into duodenum as usual, now referred to as biliopancreatic limb.
