High hopes were once placed in slow filters as final or polishing purification plant. However, their biological action is not effective in eliminating all micropollutants (phenols, detergents, pesticides); they can, for example, only remove about 50 % of organochlorinated pesticides. Slow filtration is therefore not a satisfactory polishing process. 1, record 2, English, - polishing%20process

1, record 2, French, - proc%C3%A9d%C3%A9%20d%27affinage
