Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), sometimes called Lou Gehrig's disease, is a rapidly progressive, invariably fatal neurological disease that attacks the nerve cells (neurons) responsible for controlling voluntary muscles. The disease belongs to a group of disorders known as motor neuron diseases, which are characterized by the gradual degeneration and death of motor neurons. 3, record 3, English, - amyotrophic%20lateral%20sclerosis
Record number: 3, Textual support number: 1 OBS
Because Charcot made the first clinical description in the 1860s, the disease is named for him in Europe. In the United States [and Canada], the disease often is called Lou Gehrig disease after the baseball legend who died from ALS in 1941. 2, record 3, English, - amyotrophic%20lateral%20sclerosis

3, record 3, Spanish, - esclerosis%20lateral%20amiotr%C3%B3fica

With the increasing use of Botulinum toxin in the treatment of various neuromuscular disorders, it is very important that all who are involved be kept up with the latest developments and indications for the use of the toxin. The current literature reflects the potential uses of the toxin but at the same time discrepancies in the dosage of the toxin, and measurement of toxin activity are arising. In addition, basic scientists interested in the toxin for its elegant role as a molecular tool. 3, record 4, English, - Botulinum%20neurotoxin

1, record 4, French, - neurotoxine%20botulique
