Waldenström's macroglobulinemia is included in the B-cell lymphoproliferative syndromes that have a low degree of malignancy.

OBS

The disease results from a malignant proliferation of lymphoplasmacellular elements. As in multiple myeloma, a paraproteinemia is found which is always type IgM.
