Ne pas confondre stuc et stucco. Le stuc est un enduit composé généralement de plâtre et de colle forte qui imite le marbre. Les Canadiens ont emprunté à l'anglais le mot stucco, qui désigne un enduit coloré fait de plâtre et de ciment dont on se sert en Amérique du Nord comme revêtement de murs extérieurs.
