A mechanical, fluid-measuring device that measures by filling and emptying chambers of a specific volume.

OBS

The displacement of a fixed volume of fluid may be accomplished by reciprocating or oscillating pistons, by rotating vanes or buckets, by nutating disks or by tanks or other vessels that automatically fill and empty.
