Photometry is the measurement and specification of light relating to its effect on vision. The eye can be regarded as a radiant energy detector with a selective spectral response. It is maximally sensitive to light of about 555 nm (yellow-green light) and relatively insensitive to red and blue light. The function describing the response of the human eye to different wavelengths is known as the relative luminous efficiency function, V([lambda]) or V'([lambda]) ... 1, record 3, English, - relative%20luminous%20efficiency%20function

The definition of luminance is the visual effect of the radiance and is commonly used in measuring the relative brightness of various sources. Therefore, we can refer to the relative luminous efficiency curve for normal photopic vision, and the luminance of LED panel can be calculated. For normal visual effect, at the peak sensitivity of the eye (555 nm) one watt of radiant energy equals 680 lumens (lm) by definition. The watt is a radiometric unit whereas the lumen is a photometric unit. At any other wavelength, this conversion is scaled by a value of the relative luminous efficiency at that wavelength. 1, record 4, English, - relative%20luminous%20efficiency%20curve
