... is a $10 million private sector fundraising campaign to provide the World Wildlife Fund with extra muscle and better tools to make real gains in the conservation of Canada's natural heritage. One hundred percent of the funds raised will be spent directly on conservation programs to accomplish very ambitious year 2000 goals. This critical financial support will enable World Wildlife Fund to save endangered ecological areas, implement recovery plans for Canadian endangered species, and make progress in reducing toxic pollution of our air and water. The symbol of The Nature of Tomorrow Campaign is a vibrant flower and child's hand, underlining the fact that our children's future depends upon the actions and decisions we take today. That future will be a much better one because of the generous and far-sighted donors who have contributed to the success of this ambitious campaign. Our children will be thankful for such commitments to the nature of their tomorrow. 1, record 1, English, - The%20Nature%20of%20Tomorrow%20Campaign

1, record 1, French, - La%20nature%20de%20l%26rsquo%3Bavenir

In the Budget 2000, the Government of Canada is providing $100 million to establish the Sustainable Development Technology Fund, which will be administered by a third-party foundation. The fund will stimulate the development and demonstration of environmental technologies, particularly those aimed at reducing greenhouse gases (GHG) emissions, such as fuel cells and new construction technologies, as well as improving air quality, such as clean coal technologies. Funding would be available to the private sector, research centres and other institutes. The Sustainable Development Technology Fund will encourage innovation by helping companies develop new technologies and bring them to market. The Fund will complement other federal programs, build on efforts to engage external partners and promote the efficient use of resources and technologies. 1, record 4, English, - Sustainable%20Development%20Technology%20Fund

1, record 4, French, - Fonds%20d%26rsquo%3Bappui%20technologique%20au%20d%C3%A9veloppement%20durable
