Leaf Tobacco Industry: Establishments primarily engaged in final sorting, grading, re-drying, treating and packing tobacco leaf in hogsheads. These establishments customarily store the dried tobacco in the hogsheads for a period of time which may be several years, i.e. aging the tobacco. In most cases the hogsheads of tobacco are shipped directly to the tobacco products factory while in other cases the tobacco is removed from the hogsheads, stemmed and made ready for further manufacture before being sent to the tobacco products factory. 1, record 9, English, - leaf%20tobacco

The Brier is the emblem of the supremacy of curling in Canada. The first Canadian Curling Championship, at the time only for men, took place in 1927, in Toronto. The name "Brier" comes from Macdonald Tobacco, the cigarette company who was sponsoring the championship at the start. The name is also a reference to a smoking pipe. 4, record 10, English, - Brier
Record number: 10, Textual support number: 1 OBS
In his English-French Glossary of Curling Terms of 1986, on page 23E, Pierre Dallaire writes: "Brier: A term reserved exclusively to the men's curling championship held annually in Canada before 1968 and, since 1986, to the Men's World Curling Championship [SIC]". Nevertheless, none of the sources consulted links the term "Brier" to the "World Men's Curling Championship," all of them considering that it is exclusively associated with the "Canadian Men's Curling Championship.". 4, record 10, English, - Brier

Le Brier est l'emblème de la suprématie du curling au Canada. Le premier championnat canadien [alors réservé aux hommes] a été disputé en 1927 à Toronto. Le nom fait également référence à une pipe à tabac. 3, record 10, French, - Brier
