Pour caractériser la performance des grands golfeurs, l'anglais emploie deux termes, soit «scratch» et «crack», qui désignent respectivement un joueur qui réussit souvent la normale du parcours ou celui qui peut jouer au-dessous de la normale. Ces deux anglicismes sont très répandus dans le monde du golf. Nous proposons les néologismes : «maître-golfeur» (scratch) et «as-golfeur» (crack) pour éliminer ces anglicismes inutiles.
