[The association is] part of the Canadian Federation of Musicians and [its members] are professional musicians united through [the] locals so that: [they] can live and work in dignity, [their] work will be fulfilling and compensated fairly, [they] will have a meaningful voice in decisions that affect [them], [they] will have the opportunity to develop [their] talents and skills, [their] collective voice and power will be realized in a democratic and progressive union, [they] can oppose the forces of exploitation through [their] union solidarity.
