Census metropolitan-influenced zones (MIZ). Plain language definition: ... A municipality within a province is assigned to a census metropolitan-influenced zone (MIZ) category depending on the percentage of its resident employed labour force that commute to work in the core of any CMA or CA. A separate category is assigned to the municipalities in the territories that are not part of a CA. Census subdivisions (CSDs) outside CMAs and CAs are assigned to the following MIZ categories: 1. Zones d'influence métropolitaine de recensement (ZIM). Définition en langage simple : [...] On attribue à une municipalité à l'intérieur d'une province une catégorie de zone d'influence métropolitaine de recensement (ZIM) en fonction du pourcentage de sa population active occupée qui fait la navette pour aller travailler dans le noyau d'une RMR ou d'une AR.
