Second Story reading centres are designed to encourage children and their caregivers to read, write, and have fun together with words. Located in community malls, they are open for readings by celebrities and community volunteers, and for special events, family word games, and writing clubs. Second Story reading centres also provide community resource information to families about literacy services, activities, and events.

Ceux-ci sont situés dans les centres d'achats à travers le pays, dans le but d'encourager les enfants et leurs gardiens à lire, écrire et s'amuser avec les mots. Ils promeuvent aussi des événements spéciaux et des jeux avec les mots pour les jeunes. Les locaux sont une source d'information pour les familles quant aux activités et événements communautaires.
