Numérisation des séquences vidéo sur le micro-ordinateur... Une application spécifique avec une interface graphique reprenant l'organisation habituelle d'une télécommande de montage va permettre d'élaborer une maquette du montage. En réalité le programme stocke les repères «time-code» de chaque plan afin de constituer la liste de montage (ou EDL Edit Decision List) et lors de la visualisation du montage effectué, il fait à partir de la numérisation des rushes sur disque dur, une simple lecture enchaînée des différents plans sélectionnés.
