The equipment installed at the wellhead on the surface for the purpose of preventing the escape of pressures in the annular space between the casing and drill pipe or in an open hole during drilling and completion operations. 7, record 1, English, - blowout%20preventer
Record number: 1, Textual support number: 1 CONT
During drilling blowout preventers ... are connected to the top of the wellhead. These are used to shut in and control the well in the event of gas or oil being encountered at pressures higher than those exerted by the column of mud in the hole. They consist of two or three ram preventers and one bag-type preventer, and their working pressure is 3000, 5000 or 10,000 lb/sq in, depending on the well depth and pressures expected. 5, record 1, English, - blowout%20preventer

4, record 1, French, - bloc%20obturateur%20de%20puits
Record number: 1, Textual support number: 1 CONT
11, record 1, French, - bloc%20obturateur%20de%20puits

[...] fermeture du puits par BOP [...] 12, record 1, French, - bloc%20obturateur%20de%20puits
Record number: 1, Textual support number: 1 OBS
13, record 1, French, - bloc%20obturateur%20de%20puits
